Do I Need Flood Insurance?

When buying a home it's very important to know if the home you are considering is in a Flood Hazard Area or Floodplain.

If the home is in this area and you are using FHA or other government-backed mortgage for financing it will most likely be required to purchase flood insurance in order to get the mortgage which can be a cost you didn't prepare for and may be a deal breaker.
